Tim Elvery, leading Occupational Therapist and Injury Prevention & Management Specialist, created the Strong Arm Strap back in 2006. Having specialised in the transport and logistics industry for over 20 years and treated hundreds (if not thousands!) of truck driver injuries, Tim saw an opportunity to create a tool for injury prevention.
“I developed the Strong Arm Strap out of necessity, after seeing and treating the injuries caused when transport workers strained themselves pulling tautliner curtains that were sticking, worn or just heavy,” Tim said.
As managers, drivers and handlers in the logistics industry caught wind of this new invention, people began to realise the many different uses of the handy strap. We started receiving messages from people sharing their stories and photos, and that’s when we realised - what was originally designed for truckies, is now loved by all!
The Strong Arm Strap has now been discovered by people all around the world, and is used in too many ways to count!
